It's not really much of an aquascape, but I've found that if you want infinite places for apistos to guard and breed in, throwing in a lot of moss, stargrass, hygrophilia, and some utricularia will go a long way toward having a huge mass of plant matter all the time!

Agreed!

Frankly, I like jungles. They are far more natural looking than pruned aquascapes.

I think I see a couple apistos on the right there. They certainly have plenty of spaces to hide now. :)

Thanks for the comments guys! Yeah, on the right one is an apisto, and the other is one of many of HUGE trumpet snails in this tank. I don't know whether it's the plants or the aquasoil or what, but the trumpet snails in this tank dwarf any others I've kept.
