My tank has a bunch of sand and air in it at the moment. But I hope to change that very soon......like this weekend.

How much/how often are you all dosing excel? I thought I'd try a drop a day, but I'm not seeing much action in plant growth.

I'm not using excel. I'm using a small ceramic diffuser with DIY CO2 and I'm seeing better growth than I was with the excel. If you're using the Red Sea nano filter you could also just run the CO2 line so it bubbles into the intake.

So, how's everyone's looking right now? Mine's finally started to grow in the last week or so. I guess I've finally got my dosing regimin down.

Any tips?

Mine is just sorta sitting there. The plants aren't doing anything. I don't think Excel is helping at all. I've been dosing a drop/day, plus a drop of Flourish 3x/week, and a drop of nitrogen 2x/week.

Only a drop/day? I've been dosing about 5 drops PMDD 2x a week, and roughly 1ml of Excel per day (maybe more, depending on how much goes in the cap).

Mine didn't do much of anything until I added DIY CO2. Even then it's taking a good long while. :)

I would add more ferts like Kris suggested as well.

Mine isnt doing much, Im adding about 3 drops of excel a day and NPK 2 times a week. Anyone have a mix for diy CO2 on a 20 oz. bottle? Also are you guys running both light bulbs? I was running both then switched to 1 due to algae. What are your thoughts

Turn on the second light and add more excel, I add a full pipette to my cube every other day. Or. Get your DIY CO2 pumping. Try 3/4 cup of sugar, a teaspoon of baking soda, and an 1/8 teaspoon of yeast.
