not your typical flower, but my Sagittaria platyphylla has suddenly changed leaf shape from submersed form to emersed form for the past month or so and discovered the flower spathe yesterday leaves are now narrow, hard, and about 2.5 feet tall!!
can we confirm ID Cavan? Anyone?

plant was pretty dormant for about a year or more. only change was adding root tabs more often and plucking old laves out as needed

It looks like they sold you the correct plant for the name based on the flower. The leaves should have blades that are more ovate. it must be because they extend above your light.
The flowers with the green centers are female. Male flowers will open higher up on the raceme (flower stem) and will have yellow centers.
