The Curator of Plants, William (Bill) B. McLaughlin hosted a sub-group of the AGA field trip for a guided tour of the native-plants garden.
At end of the tour he stated that he would really like a native aquatic plants aquarium in the Botanic Garden. He offered the space to GWAPA to execute such a tank. I did not get into details
His email is wmclaugh@aoc.gov. Telephone is (202)438-7067.
I have his business card for whomever wishes to lead this effort on behalf of the club. I'd like to be involved; however, as you all know I'm not the expert for the execution of such a great endeavor.

I'd be very happy to be part of this, and could even lead the effort if I got the right kind of help from Cavan, Sean, and others.

I'd support you Sam. Just give me a month or so to recover from the AGA planning, but I'd love to be a part of doing an initial setup. Hopefully the Gardens staff can maintain it after that with a little guidance every now and then...

Ditto here on being involved. After I recoup from AGA havoc the last few months.
