Hey Shahriar -- they probably won't sprout, but what's the worst that could happen by trying? :)

Hehe, I didn't want them to rot in the substrate, but I went ahead and trimmed the roots and planted. Worse case its additional organic fertilizer :mrgreen:

Toss those two pieces into a pot with sphagnum peat and distilled water and put it in an emersed setup.

Thanks, but I'd have to find them now, I planted them in the tank next to the root tabs I used to give there kin some color :) I can't remember where I put them.
