The LFS usually order through middle man co because FAN requires a very large order. Jermack is probably the most used, but not all the stores go through them. The LFS can order any number of each plant. I know because I used to order for Scales.

Then again there are some stores that only order locally from Maryland Aquatic Nurseries, who have a much more limited selection of aquatic plants.

Thanks for the insight, Cristy!

Maryland Aquatic Nurseries sells to the public. Technically, couldn't you just ask them to order it?

HOT often will carry Crypts because they are a low maintenance plant that they can buy potted and just toss into almost any tank plus their prices are the same as online stores, so I could start asking them to order in plants because they do buy from FAG. All my Crypts have been a little tattered since my C02 problem months ago but you guys just gave me the nudge I needed to add a dozen root tabs to the substrate, so they should perk up in a couple of weeks.
Sincerely,
Tim

I just stopped in Tropical Lagoon on Georgia Ave. They have 5-6 pots of Florida Sunset today. Go buy them!

I don't know that MAN orders anything from FAN. You can drive up to MAN - I think they're only open to the public on Saturdays - but with gas prices now, it's probably cheaper for most of us to mail order. I really doubt that they would have florida sunset.

Apparently, it's not that easy to find. I found a LFS in Florida.
Apparently, I was wrong again  I searched high and low and asked the LFS here with no luck. I saw it on Aquabid from a LFS in Florida and snatched it up...

DOH! I passed them on my way to B'more for class this afternoon. If I knew I would have gotten a few. I have one and I'll consider buying a few more. I've been trying new plants - Ludwigia Red, and Eriocaulon setaceum type 3 (Lorax tree) - Trying to see what works in my aquascape.

I may be stopping by TL tomorrow if I have time coming back from PA. I should also look at TFP tomorrow to see if they have it.

I got the shipment today - they messed up the original. The good news is there were 4 plans in the pot.

There were two tubers that were broken in the cotton wool. Can these be planted?
