That is no gnome, it is a LEPRECON. One of the fairyfolk of Irish legend often found near rock formations in green fields.
I suggest you quickly learn the words to, "When Irish Eyes are Smiling" while drinking a Guinness and rubbing a fourleaf clover over your heart, before some leprecon plays a trick on you. They are known to be quite nasty when refered to as gnomes and you might be able to hide yourself that way.
If one does get you, well, don't worry too much, their curses are known to fade away in a few hundred years.
