Does catalina have any shipping deals?

I'm looking to order a light fixture from catalina but I'm not too excited about their 24 dollar shipping. Do they have any deals where they can reduce or perhaps even get rid of shipping costs if we order in bulk? Because if that's so I was wondering if we could set up a group buy.

Try calling them and tell them you're a gwapa member, the dc plant club, and ask if they'll give you a discount. Otherwise, if theres interest we can try a larger order...

I emailed them the other day. I didn't ask for a discount or haggle as I feel kind of uncomfortable doing it, not to mention I suck at it. But I didn't mention I was in GWAPA. He didn't offer any discount at all. I just kinda feel bad trying to hustle him

Well, they don't have a flat agreed discount with GWAPA, but we've done enough business with them, and referred enough people, that if you call Jim at Catalina, he'll usually help you out. As mentioned, if there are several others folks interested (see you Francine), we can try to put together a larger order...
