Riccia & Cholla

Post by 150EH »

Did anyone see the Riccia tree for sale ($16) at TPT SnS, the person took a good sized (3" diameter) piece of Cholla, stuffed in with Riccia and I'm guessing covered it with some type of mesh/scrubby then stood it on end and let it grow into a tree shape, people were going crazy to try and buy the stupid thing.

It made me of Julie and her Mom going it to the Riccia tree business, $16 is not a bad take for something that easy to make.

Take a look http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/swap- ... -049g.html
Sincerely,
Tim

That is a great idea. Although I think I would prefer it horizontal though. The cholla wood would do a great job keeping the riccia contained. I currently a using mesh from a bath scrubby to hold the riccia on.

Thanks for the idea.

I use dollar store kitchen scrubby's or at least I think that's what there are, I just sold most of my Riccia at the SnS, 13 floating pods (3" diameter) for $5 each plus shipping, this was my first experience selling and I liked it.
Sincerely,
Tim
