This bright green plant grows in my front yard. It pops up in the Spring, dies off in the Summer and comes back in the Fall. I didn't think much of it until I saw a thread a while back on one of the other aquatic plant forums that showed what looked like this plant growing submersed and I lost the thread. I threw a stem into a tank about a week ago to see how it does. Can someone ID this and confirm whether it really is an aquatic?

Plant ID help
In the lawn are you thinking of Chickweed? No idea on any aquatic name.

That's it Judi. Thank you! I hope it is Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea', which is supposed to be both undemanding and a good indicator of nitrates in the tank. I like!
