CO2 Diffuser

From the description it sounds like the flow of the canister turns a little turbine inside the Sera Flore to smash up the CO2. Hadn't seen that one before.

I'll have to look at it when the club meets at your place in September.

Yep, That is exactly what it does. It has worked well for me thus far. It does throw out some very small bubbles, but when the water is clear I barely notice them. I bought mine from AquariumPlants.com since I was buying some other stuff and they were offering free shipping. It was about $40.

I use the Carbon Doser Reactor from AquariumPlants.com and it has a Rio 90 pump inside to break up and bubbles, so it sounds similar. I have never liked the diffussers because they seem very inefficient to me if you can see a stream of bubbles floating up to the surface of your tank, that's C02 escaping unused.

For smaller tanks some of the glass blown diffusser, bubble counters, etc are needed to complete the look, but in larger home aquariums a good reactor can save you a lot of gas and trips to buy gas.

For my 10g I use the smallest in-tank GLA ceramic diffuser. It releases a tiny stream of bubbles some of which reach the surface and are lost but keeps the drop checker limey and with a minimum of fuss. I keep a little 24oz paintball cylinder next to the tank and it has a little Aquamedic regulator on it with builtin needle valve. I literally have the needle valve "closed" and the little that escapes from it is what keeps the 10g at a reasonable CO2 dosage level.

I did get a Up-Aqua inline diffuser and will probably test it out at some point. If I get a lot of mist from it I may just keep it on the sidelines for some other project. It was only $20 so not worth selling.
