Yes! It was a great meeting!

Thanks Judi for hosting.

Ghazanfar, though I only tasted the scraps of your chick peas, they were very tasty and I would love the recipe.

Kris, you gave a great presentation on overviews of the three styles of aquascaping.

Kris and Dave, you guys did an awesome job on the auction. I'd love to know how much money was made with that auction! There were so many plants!

Jim Miller, thank you for bringing the group buy orders to us. I know that you took some time to pick it up for us.

And thank you to all the behind-the scenes people like Viktor, Jen, and Ghazanfar that helped out helping with the group buy and organizing the bags and orders.

Thanks for hosting, Judi. Good meeting, nice turnout.

Feel free to ask me over for family Warhammer night as well. I can bring 2500 points of dwarves or orcs & goblins.

Another awesome meeting! Thanks, Judi, for hosting, your tanks were all very cool!

Great talk, Kris! And no one should believe Jim Michaels about Dutch style tanks, I'll bet they're easier than Iwagumi! :)

Thanks to everyone that brought food, snacks, and sodas. We noted that no one asked for reimbursement - we do have a budget, folks, so if you'd like to be reimbursed, just let Ghazanfar know how much you spent. And my sincerest apologies for not making enough chili...

It might be a little more than a week before I can get the meeting videos posted, because for the next 8 days I'll be on vacation without a high bandwidth Internet connection. But I think Kris may post his slides and perhaps a picture or two from Jim Michaels.

I admit it. I came home and went straight into elbow-deep tank mode. :)

Fantastic meeting. Thank you to everyone who came, helped, hosted, and/or socialized. One big thing to note... Welcome and Thanks to all the new faces we got to see and meet today! I only heard of one headcount, and it was after the auction so some people had already gone upstairs but it rivaled our biggest meetings. Just awesome!

Hopefully we can continue to grow and be an even stronger presence moving forward! We already have a solid percentage of the heavy hitters in the U.S. hobby right here in our midst, and some of the most incredible plants available--plants that make others in the hobby drool and we pass around like they are nothing. We are truly lucky to be where we are!

So in all, thanks to everyone making GWAPA great! :)

Great meeting yesterday! People, tanks, presentations, auction all were treats! Critters are in the tank and doing great!

One of my auction items (a red root floater of some sort) I split with the lady sitting next to me who I believe was named Julie (I'm terrible at names.)

If she reads this I'd appreciate the name of the item. I failed to record it when I divided up the loot.

Thanks

Jim (who will bring styro cooler, real paper notepad and much more $1 and $5 bills as change next time)

the name of the floaters is exactly what they are: Red Root Floaters  they are a nice plant, they seem to like a little iron because since i ran out the growth is been slower. they also get redder :D

Red Root Floater (Phyllanthus fluitans).

Thanks for hosting Judy, and for a great meeting folks!

Lots of new faces, awesome to see, even if I am a bit slow on remembering names. Thank you for your patience with me during the auction on that front folks. :)

Jim, I tend to have several styro coolers sitting in my garage at any given time, we get shipments of foods and stuff from my inlaws periodically. I can bring one for you if you like, will be ugly with tape around the outisde of it tho (helps keep the lid on on the good side).
