Does anyone know how well snails ship? Just curious on how many we should expect to be DOA. I'd think they're a bit more hardy than shrimp. Is that other's experience?

From what I've read they are fairly hardy shippers. Looks like we've got quite the demand for them. I know Wilma's breeding them...perhaps she'll share her secrets with us.

I've hinted, but not gotten any details to date. I need to offer her a few more pounds of Java Moss I guess... :)

Out of the 50 I ordered, only one died. This was back in January and they
came in pretty cold. The temps right now should be shipping friendly.

The Board approved the purchase, I am making the final order details with Wilma.
This might take a couple days for her to put together, 250 snails is a lot, (did I just say that?) but with the numbers here the cost per snail will be $0.90 each. I have everyone down as listed here:

Kris W 25
Aaron 50
Jamie 10
Nathan 40
Larry 10
Rodney 15
Liz 10
David 25
John K 10
Kristy 20
Sean enough to round out the order to 250.

Wilma is giving us a huge discount from her usual price because she likes us. I think we should find a way to have her come down for a club meeting some month to talk about shrimp, you know, that talk she didn't get to give at the AGA. :D

If you've got bait, I've got wasabi!

Thanks for organizing the order, Sean!

Also, great idea on having Wilma down for a shrimp talk. I know I'd be interested in that!
