Loc-Line advice?

Need to place an order for some Loc-Line stuff and I've never played with any before. Source will be an Eheim 2078 with 450gph (claimed) capacity with 5/8" hoses. I've got 1.5" bulkheads so they won't be a restriction and I know I can get down to the thread size needed for the 3/4 Loc Line takeoff.

I think I want to go from the 3/4" to two 1/2" flare nozzles. I'll keep it at 3/4" until the last point possible with 3/4" Y, 3/4" line and a final 3/4 to 1/2 reducer on each line. Any recommendations whether to get the 1.25" or the 2.5" flare nozzles? I'm assuming that the flare nozzles are most appropriate. I also realize that there's a tradeoff between flow width and flow velocity.

Recommendations welcome for either size or another nozzle altogether or for that matter another output device as well.

BTW, the reason for the 1.5" builkheads is to be able to add more flow if needed via another under tank pump. The tank is a 90g.

I really need it to be very quiet due to my daughter having sensory issues. Are there some silent circulation pumps that I could add to another loop or should I just get another Eheim.

I suspect that at 5x turnover I might be low on flow. From what I hear however the 2078 should be plenty of filtration.

Suggestions?

Koralia powerheads are an excellent option for adding flow in my opinion. And it'd be quiet.

I might just have to go that way if I can't find an "invisible" method.

The GWAPA folk have beautiful tanks and obviously know about flow (rhymes, rimshot).

For a 90g what are folks using if they want nothing in the tank but flow? I'm not wed to a single approach and with 1.5" bulkheads should be able to accomodate nearly anything.

Sounds like you are doing the 90g like I did my 180g.

My 180g is far from silent is the thing. Ghazanfar's 215g is better, his plumbing lines must be tighter and a better inline CO2 diffusion setup I guess (plus his cabinetry work is a true built in while mine is a stand in a nook), but still not silent.

Once you start using outside pumps... another filter is always an option for you that is quieter than pumps, but you'll find tons of us using Koralias TBH.

Personally I think of a couple of advantages. Flexibility of placement and of pointing the flow, they are awesome for chopping and redirecting the upward flow of CO2 bubbles from a diffusor, and easily removed for photos.

my 75g, 50g, and 33g all are a single filter + a Koralia.

Pardon my asking, but Dave, which model Koralias are best suited for each tank? 75, 50, 33.

3 is a little too powerful for the 75g but is in there.

2 is in the 50g and is perfect. (was in the 75g and was plenty, just needed another and had the 3, hence the 75g living with a bit too much)

30g is the cube from Oceanic and is a nano. Is enough, could have maybe been a 1.

After doing a bunch of research today I decided to go with separate pump and canister. Pump is a Blueline T2 chosen for flow, head and noise. Canister is a Nu-Clear 522 which will have carbon replaced with Efisubtrat. All will be plumbed with 1" flexpvc. There should be a veritable tornado in the tank!
