August GWAPA Meeting

Post by scientist0724 »

Hey Everyone!

I will hosting the meeting on the 28th and was wondering who is coming and what you are bringing. I will be having Asian BBQ wraps, and rice and lentil salad, and grilled corn medallions.

I'm not sure what I'll be selling in the auction yet, but I'll see what I've got in excess. I am looking for some Bolbitis, narrow leaf Java fern, more Anubias, petite and nana, and possibly some smaller Vals. I'm setting up a 40L shell dweller tank, and even though most tanks just have a few rocks and shells, I'm looking to set up something with rocks, driftwood and a lot of plants. Something a little like this, but better and more plants: http://www.petfrd.com/images/articles/3 ... 5%20ft.jpg .
Anyone want to help me later with setting up this tank??? LOL!

I plan on attending and I have a few plants to bring:
a generous portion of Bolbitis heudelotti "african fern"
Vallisneria americana v. 'Biwaensis' (Corkscrew Val)
Java Fern Trident
and maybe one or two other plants
and I may bring some Xiphophorus maculatus (red wag platys) I've got too many of them.

Unfortunately, Amy and I will not be able to attend because we are spending the weekend in Colonial Williamsburg with my mom. Have fun!

I'll be there!
Not sure if I will be bringing anything other than myself.

The usual suspects bacopa, & val. Plus the Rotala Macrandra I got in the spring is doing pretty well so I will bring.

No more shrimp. I only have baby crystal reds and blues. Looks like another two or three months to grow out again.

Might bring a few live food cultures if anyone is interested.

Rick,

I would love to get some Daphnia if you have extra!

Thanks,
Arlene

We'll be there with the usual plants (and as Rick says, live food). Let me know if you need help with food & drinks.

I'm on the hunt for some HC (Arlene, I couldn't nurse back the stuff I got from you). Does anyone have any extra to share?
