Hemianthus calchitroides

Post by Ben Belton »

Or however you spell it.

Luis gave me some of the at the AGA. I had wanted to try it and Ghazanfar had offered it to me but had never taken him up on it.

I tied it to a rock to hold it down and it has grown into a nice pretty mound... about 2 months ago and hasn't grown a bit since. It has not deteriorated in any way or lost it's appearance. It is exactly the same as it has been for about 2 months. Very nice.... but nothing happening.

Does this happen with this plant? All the other plants in this tank have been trimmed one or two times in the same time period.

Thanks,
Ben

argh... OK... It's hard to do because I have it hidden behind some Blyxa. Plus my photography skills stink. Had to take the hood off and try from above... which of course left me with no light.

Got a decent pic of my Elatine while I was at it.

Sorry the HC is so blurry, it's hard to get it clear with no light and through the top of the water. Plus.. I'm short on time.

You must be doing something wrong Ben, you should have seen something like this in two months time.

I'm starting to think that maybe since it is tied to a rock and not in the substrate that it is having issues from that aspect.

All the other plants in the tank are doing fine. Elatine and Blyxa are taking over.
