Help Me with an Angelfish Tank
Sherry
We have a 45 gal tall with Angels and Discus, they love it. We've had trouble growing foreground plants but we have been succesful with cripts and we use lotus for shade and driftwood in different positions. Is it there a chance that you can replace the original bulbs to get more watts? this would help.

I can't replace originals, but I could add another fixture to the top -- just hang it over the breach that the top makes. The filter cover comes off and I can slide it back to make room for another light over the top. I'm really not inclined to do it, but I could.....
I'm thinking crypts, anubias, maybe try some val. I have anacharis under those double bulbs and it grows believe it or not.... It doesn't grow as fast as in the pond (where it grows an inch a day in the summer!), but it grows.
