CO2 Tank Prices

I’ve been doing some searching for another CO2 tank. I’ve decided on a 20lb to pump CO2 into my other 2 tanks. While doing some searching, I found these prices:

www.aquariumplants.com: 20lbs is $116.00 incl. shipping. They seem to have the better deals, plus they also carry 5 & 10lbs

GTS Gas (Columbia): 20lbs is 158.00
15lbs is 135.00


Is there a string or a directory where this sort of data can be posted?

Unfortunately, I don't know of a directory, besides just posting it here on the forum. You may want to call Laurel Bottled Gas too. I believe their price (filled) is similar to aquariumplants.com last time I checked.

I just called Laurel Bottled gas... they only sell used 5 lb. tanks, for $61.60.

Refill prices:
5 lb.: $14.50
10 lb.: $16.75
20 lb.: $19.97

I just ordered a 5 lb. tank from www.beveragefactory.com for $67.44 after shipping. They had good prices on larger tanks, but I calculated it would take me four to six refills before I realized a cost savings for going with something larger.

But is the beveragefactory one filled? Or just an empty tank?

empty, but so is the one from Laurel Bottled Gas. So I could have gotten a used one for six bucks less, but wanted to get a new one.

Oh, I thought the Laurel prices included the fill... Gotcha.

In addition to the 14.50 fill charge, Laurel Bottled Gas will charge for stickers the first time you fill it. I think it is $5.

That is darn cheap! 5 lb fill here at Bars and bud in fairfax is $20+. Thanks for the info.
