Corey, Yeah, but when the female is already yellow in the shop and seemingly accepting the male, and when the male looks like this when still young, how can you NOT buy them?
(One of the downsides to Agassizzi is the females kill unacceptable males, so it can be tough buying one pair - she sure does seem okay with him, yellowing up in my little mess of a 30 long already!)
Uh, I thought everyone had Phillipine? That's pretty much the only Java Fern I have in any of my tanks (aside from Trident), and it came yeeeears ago to me with a free tank from someone moving.
Guess I'm cooler than I thought!! HA! And here I was, plugging away with my "standard" Java Fern... OMG. Somebody better come over here and see what else I have!
Damian, the Windelov is definitely not the same as the Phillipine. The Windelov version is a variety developed by the founder of Tropica, Windelov, and has feathery fronds at the end. A few leaves by themselves aren't that special, but a whole stand of it is quite impressive.

Yeah, I get that *now*. I've got hammered leaves on all my Java Fern. LOL. Thought everybody did. NOW I know to not just give the stuff away to poor CCA guys to get them to think they can actually grow stuff.
Today, for raffle we will be raffling one complete set of aquascaping tools, donated generously by Rico. As Rico's mentioned in previous threads, these tools are medical quality, german-made stainless steel, surgical tools, that could retail for hundreds of dollars.
As always, there will be secondary prizes as well.

Count us in on that CO2 tubing group order. We haven't taken the CO2 plunge yet (as you'll all see in a couple of hours), but when we do, we'll probably just do all of our tanks at once, which will mean dozens of feet of the stuff, because I'm not buying four CO2 tanks!
