So is there some trick I'm unaware of to cleaning the tubing on a python when it gets all nasty inside?

My office Python got moldy, or something of the sort, inside (from not draining it as well as I do at home, I suppose). I cleaned it with Oxi-Clean, standard formula, feeding the tubing into the 5 gallon bucket slowly to fill it with the solution. Soaked for half an hour and rinsed well. I did hook the hose back up to the sink for the rinses and pulled the solution through to the sink, but I suspect that everything was already loose by then. This is essentially a hot peroxide treatment and leaves no toxic residues.
