125 Vs 150

Post by ddavila06 »

hey, me again...i was taking measurements at home, and realized that a 150 (6 feet long) would stand very high and cover the light switches and possibly (most likely) be harder to light up. what do you guys think of a 125? i know we just went to Viktors house and his 125 is NICEE! :D just want to have a public idea, thanks

It's really up to you and what works best with your situation. The ideal tank wouldn't interrupt what goes on around it (flow of traffic, light switches, etc.). If you use those light switches a lot, then I'd probably go with a tank that doesn't block them. At that size the 25g difference isn't super significant so I can't see how it would drastically change the plans of what goes into it.

What about a 180?

72 x 24 x 24

But why stop at only 180 ? Build you own walk-though aquascaped aquarium. I have see marine ones - but never a fresh water planted tank like that. You'll make it in the news for sure.

that would be awesome, however concidering the weight of the tank itself and the weight of the rocks and the substrate with water and i live in a 60somethin gyear old condo, i don't think so  a walk through garden kind of thing would be nice, but the condominium does not allow me to change the building in any way :? a pond is something I AM GOING TO HAVE SOMEDAY though because my turtles WILL keep on growing :D
