I Got Angelfish

Post by ddavila06 »

i have a ton! most of the new batch of eggs that i took out like 3 days ago are wiggling tails now :D even more exciting this is only the second attempt to hatch them away from the parents! i wish i could post pics (wife forgot camera at mom's home...) but right now they basicly look like 2 eyes with a tail like thing and a sack in the middle  i guess i'll have some in a couple of months for the group :D

Once the egg sack disappears, all they need is baby brine shrimp (Live or frozen). After about a month, use live bearers baby food and start adding your regular food ground up very fine. If you feed them two times a day within about 6 to 8 weeks they will be about nickle to quarter size in a twenty gallon tank. Remove the parents because they may have a baby dinner.

today i came to feed the little ones and found them all dead     buuuuuuu, no sure what i did wrong, i tried to change some water like 10 mins after feeding to keep any debrees out, they have a light and everything else is still the same...i'll hope it works next time :(

ps: since they started swimming on their own they would always stay low...rarely going high up in the tank? any commments? suggestions from the pros welcome

Damian, can you give me any more info on your methods and equipment your using? Raising the young is not to terribly difficult given the right technique/equipment/food.
