50g breeder, now set up and going...

Post by ingg »

Added a lot, lots of new growth too.

Got some more of the Eleocharis sp., ordered a ton of nana petite. I had to redo the HC, starting to take off now - 2 weeks of inadequate light at startup didn't do it or the rotala mini any favors. :(

Greenwater bloomed, used UV, greenwater gone. Some diatoms cycling through.

Still can't get any inverts in this tank. Have to get it tested for copper - but Prime should be neutralizing that, and they still die. Oddly enough, I have found a few pond snails living. Nerites face instant death pretty much when placed in the tank, and I'm not going to burn any more Amanos until nerites live. ;)

Lookn good, Id put the Eleocharis sp. in the right corner as well. Or moved to the right and something else on the left.

Cleaned up.... added Java Fern Trident clump on top of the rocks, finally found a plant that fits there.

Please ignore the errant plants - rotala sp. from a friend, and some purple bamboo, they have other homes eventually. Just growing them here for now. ;)

Needs some trimming and cleaning up I think. A friend will soon receive some of the Eleocharis in the mail.

Newest occupants. For whatever reason, inverts are not doing well. Figured I'd house some pretty gobies here while I wait for that to pass.

They'll need a new home once inverts go in, but neat little fish to watch. Austrailan Desert goby pair, here is the male with the female behind him.

4x39 TEK fixture. Thanks! It is getting there - and these fish'll be at an auction soon, invert hunters, and I think shrimp'll finally live in this tank. ;)
