Getting CO2 into my new 20 Gal...

Post by PaulS »

I just setup a 20 gal and I want to add CO2. I have pressurized CO2 on my 90 but unfortunately, its on the other side of the room and I don't want to buy another seperate C02 system.

I want to go with one of these options:
1) A long distance CO2 run (over 20 ft which I'm not sure is possible.)
2) I prefer the convenience and accuracy of the pressurized setup but I could go with an inexpensive DIY CO2 setup (in the link below - which should be sufficient for a 20).
3) Flourish Excel.

I would very much appreciate any suggestions or advice. Thanks.

I ran almost 30 feet to one of my tanks. If you use CO2 proof line, you can do it.

Now, I also got to hide the line in the wall, not sure what the room layout is like...

My tanks are in the finished area of our basement and I have to keep the appearance reasonably tidy. For that reason, I would need to conceal the lines in some fashion - possibly inside the walls like you did.

Can you recommend a good source for CO2 proof line?

Co2-Canisters has line that you can use.

Bars by bud should as well.

Next Question; Where can I find a "splitter" that will allow me to distribute and seperately regulate CO2 to multiple tanks?

Thanks Jeff and Kris. I guess I should have looked out at the web site first...

I'm not sure how GWAPA group orders work yet but is anyone else interested in doing a group order from Co2-Canisters? Maybe we can negotiate a discount for a bulk purchase of CO2-proof tubing...

Here is a pic of my new 20... The plants have not grown in yet - the lame-looking, scraggly stuff in front is glosso. Other plants include Anbius, Blyxa japicona, Lobelia cardinalis, Crypt lutea, and some moss of an unspecified variety - because I forgot to write the name down before I threw the bag away! In a few weeks, it should look much better. The water is still a little cloudy...

No takers yet for a group order? No one else needs CO2 proof tubing?

Paul, I could use 12 feet of CO2 tubing if you're ordering it.
