I meant to ask about the glass pieces involved in the filter. What are those? Where did you get them? Were they part of the ADA order? Noticed they werent in the picture when you really hacked it down.

Those are called Lily Pipes. They are an ADA product that ADG carries. Any product that ADG carries was part of the group order.

What is the advantage to them other than they are less visible at the surface?

If you want a set, Aquatic Magic has em for 45+ shipping, or you can do ADA for like 3x the cost.

No, I am not at a point that I want to spend money for appearance in the tanks. I still need to figure out what is getting set up where in the new house so lily pipes are way down the list....thanks though.

Ghazanfar - Can you post this on APC in the Aquascaping forum? There are a lot of people that would benefit from this. :D

Well after a month of my major hack everything except the Rotala macrandra 'Green' grew back, just bare stems. They haven't rotted but only have about 3 very small sprouts. Going to need some more of this @ the next meeting!

HC didnt seem to like getting trimmed to well, made one hell of a mess for about a week as well
