Leave the man alone, he is in mourning over all the things that have gone wrong....he probably is afraid the tank will explode and completely soak his camera at this point.

Neilanh he's probably busy. I don't thing it would have anything to do with them being horrid or blurry lol.

So I trimmed on Saturday the 8th, and it looked like this:

Ten days later:

Only dosing to date is .2 (not a typo, point 2) ppm of K2SO4. The low grow hygro has been growing, but growing with micro leaves. Ghazanfar and Aaron, among many others :), suggested trying a little potassium in the water column, as some plants, like this one apparently, start to grow little tiny leaves if getting the nutrients all from the substrate. Leaves have begun to fill out more, not sure if it is easily visible in the photos, but that little bit of potassium seems to be helping it.

Dude, in the past 2 weeks -

Family in town.

Setting up for the Home Builder's show in MD.

Killed my Regulator.

Killed my CO2 canister.

Blew up a Filstar and a glass lily intake - and when the filter finally went, it blew 3 gallons of water on the floor while I was at work.

Killed $20 of rasboras via overflow death.

and have had zippy time to tinker with manual mode on this camera. It cannot handle macro shots in aquarium mode, or else I need a tripod to do it, not sure which.

I am a comedy of errors and too much to do lately, lol.

Some updated pics.

Tan is doing really well. Still dosing next to nothing, a tiny amount of potassium. Everything is growing in well, some of them a bit too well. The Stellata is having to be mowed monthly or it tries to take over my entire basement. Echinodorus 'Vesuvius' is also doing extremely well, and I've begun to sell some runners of this unusual plant, as well as spread it within my club. Crypts are a mixed bag. Beckettii grows in like a weed. Balansae melted, came back a pretty dark brown/bronze, but is staying short. Green Gecko is struggling, no idea why - it grows in with tiny reddish leaves, and doesn't grow up bigger.

Overall, couldn't ask for more. The tank is simple to maintain, and is filling in quite nicely. I've put in some Polygonom sp. Sao Paulo I picked up from a friend locally to eventually fill in the void in the right side (this was supposed to be a field of Balansae, and it is - 12" tall and hidden behind the rocks and wood!), it is growing, but slowly.

Added some Downoi on the right side, starting to catch hold and grow. Other than that and some slight rearranging, little added or changed.

So, some pics!

And yes, my pictures are surely still horrid and blurry.

It's looking really great! Hack that stellatus back! I can't wait until the parva fills in the foreground. Really nice tank. :-)

Heh, Stellata is coming to auction or being sold online... or both. Stuff is a weed! Pretty weed, but a weed.

Hoping to soon do the happy dance - I lost the top of the Ludwigia pantanal I bought at the last meeting, but the stem shot out two side shoots, and those are growing... if this stuff grows in this tank, I will be sooooo happy!

Nice job Dave. If you're going to bring all that stellata this weekend lemme know, cuz I won't bring mine. I have to trim it every 2-3 weeks myself.

Downoi's really going to look good in that corner.
