Kris,
I have registered in the beginners before but never entered anything. What class should I sign up for?

I am determined to start planting some tanks and stop melting stuff. I'm working on posting some pics.I just got some plants for my 50 breeder.

Kevin, go ahead and stick with beginner. Really, the two categories are fairly subjective. They exist so that beginners don't feel intimidated going against folks who have done a number of aquascapes, or competed nationally. I've never seen your tanks, but I'd guess that you'd still want beginner, particularly, if you're still learning to grow plants.

Even more good news! Dave just heard back (thanks Dave!) today from Seachem, and they will once again be sponsoring our contest. That means more Seachem product for all entrants, as well as, additional prizes for the winners.

Please support our sponsors, and please consider participating in the contest, if you have not signed up already.

Since I tied for second place in the beginner category last year, I guess that means I shouldn't sign up as a beginner again?

I guess I'll sign up in the advanced category, as long as everyone promises not to laugh at such hubris.

Judi, I think that's a great idea! Your scape beat all of the advanced ones hands down last year, so you should be confident!

No, I think a distinct lack of confidence might be my best strategy, now that I think about it.

Seriously, last year I went into it with the attitude that I had no chance of winning, so there was no pressure, and I could just have fun with it!

If you've got bait, I've got wasabi!

I wish I could be like Mr. Sarcastic when I grow up! ;)
