CO2 Question or 2
I heard that about mineral oil too, and I tried it, and my needle valve is all gunked up... It still works, but the knob turns much harder, and the opening the bubbles comes up seems to be somewhat obstructed at times making mini bubbles instead of the normal sized ones, so it's hard to gauge how much is coming out. All in all, I'm back to just refilling it with water every so often. Your mileage may vary with glycerin.

Glycerin is used a lot in compounding of pharmacy products. Most pharmacies don't compound much except some creams or syrups these days, but if you can find a pharmacy that specializes in compounding, they may have some you can buy.
I was looking. Looks like there is come product called Fleet® Babylax®: 2.3 g/2.3 mL (4 mL) [6 units per box] which is a glycerin solution. If you can find it, read the box and make sure it's all glycerin.
You should be able to get a pharmacy to order you some... I think.
I'll look at work tomorrow if I can remember. I might not know what I am talking about either. I never deal with it.
