Red Roaches everywhere!

Post by krisw »

I emptied my pond last night, and in addition to the 50 cherry shrimp I brought to aquafest, I probably pulled out another 200. Hopefully it wasn't a mistake to throw all of them into my 75G. Every scoup at the bottom of my pond was yielding 10-17 shrimp until the end. What's crazy is that I only put about a dozen in the pond back in May. Sheesh these things are prolific!

You could have made a killing on em at the auction.

Hey Kris,
A buddy of mine is looking for shrimp. If you want to sell any just bring it to the meeting.

I'll keep that in mind Kevin. Now that I've put them in my 75G, it's not necessarily easy to get them out without messing up the scape. If I can fish any out, I'll bring them along. I still have an inch of water in the pond too, so it's quite possible I could pull a dozen from there still. :-p

Now, I just need to decide exactly which cichlid I'm going to put in the 75G to keep them at bay. I'm leaning toward some dwarf west africans, but don't know which yet.

Where'd you put the nudiceps? I figured they were going in there.

Anyone want a single male Bolivian Ram?

He has an attitude problem sometimes and hates anything on the bottom of the tank. He is trying to fight the big ancistrus I got from the auction.

Yeah, the nudiceps are in there, but I figure I could do some P. tanenatus to go with them. I'm hoping the nudiceps start coming out more. Right now they're pretty human-shy.

It took a while for my Pelvicachromis 'Blue Fin' to come out. I think they eventually got hungry. ;)

My male nudiceps committed suicide. Cannot find the female.
