people use soft resin in their South America planted tank, especially for Tonina sp. in Asia with great results. it can either lower your pH to 4.0 or soft your water. it depends on how you use it. i heard that there are several different kind of soft resin in the market over there. my friend in LA who use that to lower and soft his water. the pH over there is over 8 i believe.
anyway, if anyone is interesting in this, you can have some, and then tell me how it works after you use it. hehehehe... i dont need it now. my pH is around 6.4~6.8 depends on CO2 etc. its for my future projects. i'll let you guys know when i get it.
Well, if you're at the PVAS auction tomorrow find me.
I'll bring a bag-o-plants for you. I'll probably
be helping out Emily at the auction registration
table.
Sorry I missed your message until after the auction. Were you working the cash out table? If so, I think I talked to you about the next meeting and bettas. Picked up a few basic plants.
Rats!!! Won't be able to make meeting in March or May.
You must've spoken with Rick. I had to leave the auction
early. I did leave a bag of plants for you at the cash
out table - seems like you didn't get it tho. No
worries. I should have a few more cuttings this
weekend - drop by if you want them.

I would love to take you up on the offer of free plants. Will work for plants. Saturday afternoon I will be attending a Betta metting around Occoquan. I would have to work around that.
