Eheim Parts Disaster

Post by John G »

A few weeks ago I was doing one of my very occasional Eheim filter cleanings. Due to simple carelessness I managed to lose the bushing for the propeller shaft down the drain. No problem, I thought, I’ve ordered from the Eheim parts site before, when I carelessly ripped a rubber seal. So I went to the site (http://www.eheimparts.com/client/homepage.aspx) and ordered a couple of replacement bushings and, anticipating additional carelessness of my part, a few more rubber seals. I received an order acknowledgement, assumed everything was OK, and went about my business. After a couple of weeks I went to their site to check on the status of my order. To my amazement under “Order Status it said â€

Is it possible that your credit card company denied the charge? Maybe they're trying to charge from Europe? I've had similar problems when traveling around without notifying the credit card company. Just a thought.

Their "Order Details" page lists the credit card number, and it is correct. I have used this same card with them before. But who knows, there could still be a problem there. What surprises me is that they didn't send me an email telling me of the problem, whatever it is.

I have a professional II, model 2026. What I lost is the little rubber thing that goes on the end of the shaft that goes through the propeller assembly. If I ordered the correct thing it is Item No. 7444390.
