Running 1 light in the new nano fixture

How does one do this?

If I unplug the second bulb, the first bulb doesn't light at all.

Unplug the first bulb, the second one lights, but dimly...

Do I need to give it a jumper or something?

Mine just lights up with one bulb. You must have gotten the 'murphy' fixture.
