Here's a not so great pic of my 5.5G Shrimp tank.
I set it up back in November...

And now it looks like ...

Actually the entire foreground was javamoss, but I removed that to give it a little contrast. I want
the foreground to fill in with Marselia or something.

When you pulled out the foreground moss, I hope you looked closely for babies... that Cherry Red is too nice to toss offspring.
Mulm in shrimp tanks (along with the Java Moss) is nursery and food source. You are too neat Ghazanfar- leave some chaos for biology. <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0">
Unless of course it is pure display tank, then feel free to be photo-ready. <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0">

I shook out the jmoss pretty good - saw a few babies
swim out. Hopfully I got them all. These guys are
very prolific. I think if someone setup a 20G tank
with lots of driftwood and java moss - let a dozen
or so shrimp in there - no filteration, no heater
and bare minimum lighting. Toss in a shrimp pellet or
two a week - in a 4-6 months you'd have a shrimp
factory!

That is what I'm doing for the Amanos this round, we'll see if they make it in straight (if moderately hard) FW. Pounds of Java Moss and likely at least fractions of mulm (a veggie filter in real life). I'm burned with baby stravation due to my absences, along with power outages. But the Amanos are not as prolific as Cherry Reds, or rather, are not as simple.
Ghazanfar,
Very nice. I love those rocks. I have to swing over once you settle in and we can go rock picking. Those would be perfect for any tank.
I see great potential for AGA <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0">
Can you provide specs for this tank
- Equipment
- Plants used
- Weekly schedule
- Fertilizer ?
- CO2 ?

You can swing by anytime Jay - you know that!
Equipment: Azoo Palm filter
Plants: Java moss, Christmas moss, Rotala rotundafolia 'green', Ludwigia arcuata and Marselia sp.
No ferts any more. I was using Excel and Flourish
in the beginning - but I stopped dosing all that
once things got going.
No CO2.
I do partial water changes (20%) once every 2-3 weeks.
