Here's a picture of the Hygrophila that I brought to the last auction at Ali's house:

Does it show any coloration later in its development? Definitely an interesting pattern on the leaf.

It does have some burnt red coloration coming from the origin of the leafs and working outwards. The picture isn't the greatest. I'm working on learning how to use the manual focus feature on my camera still.

Does this consume the entire tank like other hygros?

I have a pink variation that I got from the Atlanta Aquarium Group. I will try to remember to clip some and send it home or figure out a way to pack it. I am not sure if what I have and this are the same or if mine is just another variation. Again my lack of knowledge is still slowly being compensated for. Guess I can get it home and show Ghaz and see what he says.

Thanks
Rob

Jeff - this one is a fast grower yes. :) I'll be bringing some to the December meeting.

Rob - It could be Hygro 'sunset' that you have. Either way bring it home and we'll take a look at it.

After pulling up some photos of 'Sunset' that is exactly what I have. Its got more medium growth compared to some of the other stem plants I have in the tank down here. It is planted in the center and just starting to fill in.

That one is pretty common at just about any LFS. It's still a decent plant though.

I didnt figure it was special. Got it way to cheap at that auction for it to be uncommon.
