I was out tending the garden yesterday, and to my delight, I saw the first bloom on an immersed limnophila aromatica stem in my pond!
Limnophila Aromatica Flower
Well, if that's how it is, then you'll also notice that my pond's water isn't green! *kidding*Showoff!
Anyways, I was just as surprised to see a flower as anyone. Mine really hadn't grown a lot all summer, so when it flowered on the most overcast day we've had in weeks, I couldn't believe it! So, what's flowering for you?
It makes sense that it would flower then. They flower more when they 'sense' the season changing to colder weather so they can seed to grow another year.
Flowers so far include Glossostigma (tiny white flowers), Ludwigia repens 'green' (yellow flowers) and Polygonum sp. 'Kwaegonum' (pinkish flowers).
