Thoughts on suitable tank size?
Looking for thoughts on sizes for an Endlers show tank at home.
I'm looking for something suitable as an Endlers/Cory only planted tank in the living room or den. Was kinda leaning towards something "reef ready" to minimize the unsightly hardware on the back wall.
Any thoughts?
Cheers.

Depends on the fish load ....you know how quickly they multiply and with the Corys they should be a consistent impact on parameters so go as big as you are comfortable with in the room. It would be cool to see a 45 or so thats got a Cory carpet.....been thinking about doing one like that myself.....not as much a fan of the Endlers but several schools of corys always is a good time They are such a bunch of clowns. You do mention you want it planted too so make sure its got enough depth.....I have a few 55s and they just arent as successful for showcasing plants because of the lack of depth....although I have found a pretty good group of fish for those tanks.
My two cents

Thats an awesome idea Kris. Depending on what you plant in the tank the Corys will have a hard time getting lost if you get them in a larger number....you might also want to look at the Cory varieties to find one that is a complimentary difference from the endlers and the plants. There are so many different ones available these days you should be able to find a good fit and I have found that the corys when happy and in an appropriate group will be hard to hide....again though that comes back to how you plant it and what colors you are trying to get to stand out.....I would suggest trying to keep an open area near the front as the cory playground so they dont blend into the plants as much.....

I'm doing exactly what Kris suggested with two of my smaller tanks. One never gets any females put in it so I only have to lean out one population at a time. I have about 40-50 of them right now in a 10 gallon tank. No, I don't does macros in the tank.
I would go with a 50 breeder or an Oceanic 58 gallon. Both of those sizes are very attractive for aquascaping IMO.
As for cories I suggest you contact Don Kinyon from the PVAS club. It would be a hike to his place from yours, but he has some of the coolest cories out there and for 1/3 the price.
