No problem Kevin. We'll likely hold another contest in the future if this one keeps going well. Perhaps that one will be a bit more free-form.

Has a date been set for when these masterpieces will be judged?

The judging date will be either the August or September meeting. We were going to gauge how it was going for everyone in terms of plant growth. So, with that in mind, how's everyone's tank doing?

Mine is getting off to a really slow start. I've had a few plants melt, and in response have added some flourish tabs to the sand, which is I didn't much of anything before. I'm definitely still getting a handle on how much/when to dose, and tinker with things on this tank.

Everyone else?

Given the high level of light I'm trying to avoid algae by feeding the plants only through the soil. So far they are staying alive, growing a bit, but nothing has begun to spread yet. Given how mine is going I'd vote for September rather than August.
