Dang!
That reminds me of this one guy back on Robert Hudsons forum several years
ago. This was when tying ricca down was still the hot thing. He kept posting his
woes on trying to tie ricca down. People suggested several methods. He had
no luck. Finally he posted a picture of his setup with a mat of floating 'riccia'.
The poor $@# had been trying to tie down duckweed all this time!
I think thats one of the few times I actually fell off the chair laughing.
My scaping skills are pale in comparison to all the folks out there now. Im
thinking about entering the beginners category - maybe I'll have a shot there.

I was looking around a creek in Alabama this past January, and noticed large patches of duckweed rooted or matted together on the bottom of some pretty swift flowing sections. It actually looked pretty nice, but I haven't a clue how to plant that in an aquarium. I imagine if you add enough twigs and leaves, and enough duckweed flowing thru them, you're bound to eventually form what looks like a mat.

Ghaz would probably still beat us with colored gravel, duckweed and if you took away his tweezers.
Hell I bet if you tied his hands behind his back he would figure out how to plant a tank without looking at it.
