I think that's the variety of hygro I have growing in my 215. The long
skinny leaves resembling narrow leaf java fern. Anyway - thought I'd
mention an interesting observation. If leaves / leaf fragments are left
floating around, sometimes they develop a root. One such fragment
lodged itself into some moss and has developed into a plantlet complete
with a nice root structure. Cool huh!

You sure you don't have Hygrophila corymbosa ''angustifolia'' ? I got some from you at an auction, but I've never noticed a aroma from it.
Eitherway, I will be bringing a bag of Hygrophila corymbosa narrow leaf to the auction, which is what you sold it to me as. I've noticed the "roots from a leaf" thing a number of times with this plant. Really great plant. I've got the full 2/3 portion of the back of my 75G planted with this.

Some of the clippings from your tank have been doing that same thing in several of my tanks. It seems the old leaves grow the new plants as they rot off. I find myself replanting that portion once a month or so to place some of the new plants onto rocks and some of my driftwood.
Thanks
Rob
