This plant has just recently been made available in
the US. IMO, its a lot easier to grow than the
regular form of stellata. It doesn't have the
stunting issue that the regular variety seems to have.
In moderate light the leaves be yellow/green with purple
underside. In bright light the tops turn orange, and
in high light / low nitrates it gets quite reddish.
Beautiful plant!

Ghazanfar,

I looked closely at your plant and noticed the same "problem ?". Very small/tiny greenish/yellowish spots on leaves. Do you think this is some kind of deficiency or normal behavior with this plant ?

I don't think its a deficiency. The color of the
plant varies fom greenish yellow to almost solid purple.
I've noticed that when the leaf changes color, some spots remain with the original color.
It grows so well for me.....this one I'll never get
rid of.

You can see the difference in growth in just 3 days.

I thought I was the only one who noticed the "what plant is Ghazanfar hooked on this week", syndrome. <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0">
