Knocked over my CO2 yesterday. It landed on the reg. The dial that indicates how full the bottle is smashed. The glass fell, the ring came off, and the needle says it's fully full -- the paper backing got all messed up.
Is it safe to use this thing til I get a new one (right after I win the lotto?)

Josh -
I am not a CO2 user but if you can still control the output flow from the canister - can you use the bubble counter to tell what the flow rate is - or am I way off base here?

I don't know, but I think you'd be taking a big risk with your fish or your apartment or potentially your health. Depends on what was damaged.
Re: Crud. Broken CO2 Regulator.
More than likely it's Ok and some liquid CO2 may have gotten into the regulator while it was tipped. I would close the main valve and re-open it then check for leaks with soapy water. It's unlikely you damaged the needle valve or even caused a leak but just pay close attention for the first day or two and shut it down if you see any problems that you can't fix.
Sincerely,

Couldn't you just replace the high pressure guage?
