Lagenandra

Post by Tyger »

Greetings,

I really love the Lagenandra and was looking for some advice on, and requirements for, growing them in emersed/terrestial environment as well as were one might obtain various species. I noticed the great photographs of potted plants posted by Ghazanfar. Even so, I wondered whether they were straight forward or require greenhouse, hothouse, steamroom, or some such special requirements beyond the ordinary household. I was also curious whether or not Lagenandra meeboldi, pink was the only variation suited for immersed growth.

Ghazanfar grows all of his emersed in 40g breeder tanks with glass lids to keep high humidity. Shouldn't be anything too terribly involved to keep.

Hmmm, I really like that idea. I will wait for petsmart/petco to run their $1/gallon sales.
