"Stays Compact"

Post by Ben Belton »

This is one of those newer swords, they said that "stays compact." E. Kleiner Prinz. Started out as one plant. Don't know when it turned into 2. Took up 1/3rd of my 75 and is keeping me from having anything really.

Dude! Don't you know about horticultural euphemisms? Like "vigorous" which means it's a garden thug that will spread halfway down the block as soon as you turn your back? Or "self-sows freely" which means it'll soon be on the invasive species list?

"Compact" really means "It won't get as big as most others, but will still be bigger than you want".

Cheers.

I'm glad someone finally figured out the truth.

I wanted to hang onto it until the AGA convention and sell them and the babies. They usually fetch a lot of money, but it is messing up my whole tank. Nothing would grow under it.
