Trimming NL Java fern?

I've got a java fern going nuts in the front of the tank. I like the shape, texture and location but I need to whack it back. IIRC I can just cut the leaves at the rhizome and let new ones spout.

Any cautions?

Yep, that's exactly what you do. Or feel free to rip out whole sections - it'll fill back in....
