Thanks!
It's not big enough. I need more space front to back. I'm suffering from a bit of collectoritis, I'm afraid.
I have 4 other tanks and thinking of starting another one. The other tanks will just be farm tanks with fish in them...for now.

Re: Resetting 120
Argggg! Now that the contest deadline is drawing near, the stupid tank is acting up. I know it's me. I've messed up somewhere. The algae parade is marching down main street. I keep telling myself not to give up...just yet.
Re: Resetting 120
It looks good and I'm surpised to see all the pearling at 1 bps on that big tank, but it looks like really good start and I guess I can stop snooping now I've seen the whole thing. From the plants you are selling and there growth and good root structure I would say don't use any root tabs unless you see a high demand plant struggling, you plants look great and besides the glass everything looks pretty clean.
I'm dig'n the high tech legs for your light, that some good diy. I have a ton of Ehiem intake strainers and inlet/outlet if you want to paint them black and swap with me?
Edit: Holy moley, that has really grown in and forget all my stupid advise above I missed the little 4 page thing, I do that every once in a while.

Take your pictures sooner than later! The picture you submit doesn't have to be from the deadline.FrannyB wrote:Argggg! Now that the contest deadline is drawing near, the stupid tank is acting up. As for the algae, I bet your Aquasoil has run out. Increase your dosing, if you're not already. Start with more K and traces/iron. If that doesn't help, it's time for N and P.

Re: Resetting 120
my mistake was reducing the dosing to a schedule totally unregulated and not removing the build up of organics. I have been adding root tabs, but with the neverending rescaping, I think some of the ferts are now on top of the substrate. Unfortunantly, I just trimmed and am on bended knee that the afflicted plants grow in by the time the photo is due.

Sounds like you are a fiddler like me. My tanks do best when I am too busy with life to mess with them. I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures Franny.FrannyB wrote:my mistake was reducing the dosing to a schedule totally unregulated and not removing the build up of organics. I don't think she had a choice those Mayaca fluviatilis Franny pulled were 30" long or better, or at least that's they way it look in the photo, but there are some secret lab experiments going on in Beltsville.
