Has anyone used one of these Eheim vacs? I need something for my shrimp tanks since the sponge filters don't do a good job sucking up the junk on the bottom of the tank.

There is also a less costly alternative: http://www.amazon.com/Marina-Multi-Vac- ... 606&sr=1-7
Just wondering if anyone has hands on experience with either or both?

OK. Thanks for the advice.DelawareJim wrote:I don't worry about it. Shrimp will eat the mulm that accumulates on the bottom. They also love worm castings (worm poop). When I added a couple of clumps to my tanks for the root feeders, the shrimp would go crazy over it. I'd have balls of shrimp all over them in about 10 minutes.
Cheers.
