One more stupid question. Is the dbl dose, doubling the initial use or is it doubling the daily dose? I just doubled the daily dose, so perhaps I did not put enough in.

Oops - sorry, I typed that dosage wrong. It should be 5ml/10g for 3-5 days. That is the same amount that the Excel bottle says to dose "on initial use or after a major water change." Once a day.

Cristy, do you use Excel on a regular basis as well to keep the BBA in check?

No, I use Excel to kill the algae that is currently there, but I also try to correct the imbalance so that it won't come back. Usually when there's BBA I need to bump up the CO2.
