I'm thinking that I'll skip the MTS and just go with Flourite Black Sand. I don't see this as a long term tank so just water column feeding should be enough.

You guys are really going to do tiny tanks? It seems that a smaller tank would be quite a challenge.

Once you go Dutch you can't stop trimming.

Hi Franny

For me it's 10g or nothing so I thought I'd at least give it a go. I'm not touching my 90g!!

I have low expectations.

Have fun!

I have to admit I'd love to be doing something larger if I had the space and time. I'm really looking forward to what you're doing Francine. Keep those pix coming!

Same here. It is the 11 gallon or nothing. I just like fiddling with it and thinking it looks nice. I have very low expectations of placing in the contest.

Ok Negative Nancy/Julie.... you never know who is going to win!! If you've already got a jump start on the rest of us you're in good shape indeed (unless all of a sudden there was a mad rush to get started after the last meeting, I think one person said they had started when I asked!). :)
It is not murder if you're killing snails.

My expectations are high and skillset low, but I'm going for it.

Have the parameters for the contest been set?
