Just started the good stuff yesterday. The plants are responding with new growth.
Reduced the lighting to 4 bulbs. Waiting on 51" power strip to include the extra timers for the nooner session. The light is still 3" from substrate. I bought pipe and had it bent to attach the light. Blah, blah, blah. Haven't painted them yet.
Made up one batch of Macros and one Micros.
Macro receipe:
5 tsp of KN03 + 1.5 tsp Kkh2po4 + 1.5 tsp k2so4 into 500ml distilled H20
Micro receipe:
1.5 tsp of CSM+B in 500ml H20
Dosing 18ml each every day.
Still having regulator problem. There is a leak somewhere. I used the plumber leak test solution and there were no bubbles. I don't want to dunk the whole thing in a bucket of water because of the soleniod.
Where else could it be leaking?
I do need more current 'cos there is crap settling on the leaves. The koralia (sp) is the #5. Too big for the 120?

Here it is today. Moved some of the taller plants to the back.
Still getting the algae on the glass. I need to move my lights up to 12" and possibly double my fert receipe.
Plants growing. Do I have to wait until they get to the top to trim and replant?
Bought a-Victor vts 250 d regulator-Burkert solenoid-Swagelok S series metering valve. May have f'd it up. Read the gauge wrong and cranked it too high. Hopefully when the bottle and reg defrost, the reg will still be usable.
The koralia is too big for my tank. I bought it as recommended by chart on Dr F&S. Eventhough the current goes around like I want, the plants are laying down.
Anyone need a Koralia 5? Used once. $30.
Speaking of algae, I just got a two little fishes nano-magnet and it works great. The magnet that is inside the tank is very narrow so it can get behind pipes and close to plants. Much better than the mag-float I had been using before. http://www.amazon.com/NanoMag-Magnetic- ... B001JSTHXS. Free shipping with Amazon Prime membership.
It might be too small for a big tank, since it is about an inch square, but for medium to small tanks it would work well.
