in line CO2 reactor for small tank

Post by jweis »

I am setting up an 11 gallon tank and want to install an in-line CO2 reactor. Has anyone ever used this product from GLA? : http://www.greenleafaquariums.com/co2-d ... ser-8.html

It just seems to good to be true. I have a big hulky think for my larger tank. Can this little thing really do a good job?

It doesn't dissolve CO2 rather injects a fine mist which may or may not be as effective. But CO2 is cheap so who cares?

The only downside is some don't care for the mist of bubbles constantly in the tank.

I have it in the GLA48L.
Negatives:
Only issue I have is that the CO2 might get "lost" or "trapped" in the spraybay if there's a space gap in the upper part of it.
Positive:
Reduce your BPM! Exteremely fine mist, so you don't use as much CO2.
My brass check valve went bad on me. I removed it, and since the stone is so superfine, water has not seeped back. (not an excuse, I need to get another one!)
Rome wasn't built in a day

I can grow any algae!

OK, thanks for the info. Sounds like this would work for me on my new small tank. Maybe the fine mist of bubbles will hide the algae!
